Speed Stacking

Firstly, a massive thank you to Mr Cakebread for helping transport the children to Freeman for our annual speed stacking event. Thank you for Freeman for hosting the event, it was well organised and the student helpers were fantastic!

We managed to improve on our position overall from last year coming 3rd place, with many of the children recording their fastest scores for either the 3 3 3 or 3 6 3 on the day!

A big thank you for our team mascot (Brandon), who unfortunately was to old to enter the competition, came along to help train and compete for the love of the sport. Although his time did not count, he managed to record the fastest time for the 3 6 3 in an amazing 4.52 seconds!

Rain Rain Go AWAY!

Today was another glorious example of British weather!

However, it did not stop KS2 from being active during wet play. We all went into the hall to play the game to ‘Tidy up your bedroom’.

The rules were simple, which ever team had the tidiest side was the winner.

Rule 1 – Only one ball can be thrown at a time (into space not at each other).          Rule 2 – You must stay on your side and not move over or around the benches.      Rule 3 – When the teacher says freeze you must stop on the spot!

If any of these rules are broken then the whole team is disqualified!

It was fantastic to see all the children rising to the challenging and working together to achieve a common goal, whilst keeping active and having fun.
